Theatre in Nontraditional Spaces
Established in 2017, Colorado TINTS was founded to bring under-reported stories to the public through theater. Our team of writers, actors and directors create original scripts that highlight individuals whose achievements have been under-recognized. TINTS also partners with community groups and schools for writing projects that culminate in live performance.
Since its launch as a not-for-profit theatre company, TINTS has focused on producing plays that chronicle the lives of heroes of social changes that include:
- Harvey Milk
- Richard Durham
- Mother Jones
- Lori Piestewa
TINTS has also brought to the stage plays about iconic historical figures in conjunction with other theatrical production companies that include:
- Hedy Lamarr
- Myrlie Evers
- Helen Bonfils

About Ben Bruton
Ben Bruton has about 30 years’ experience in the book publishing industry. Throughout his career, Ben has worked with some of the biggest and bestselling authors of our time.
Before launching Ben Bruton Literary, a public relations firm for authors of different types, Ben was the Senior Director of Publicity at William Morrow/HarperCollins. He was also on the staff at Atria Books, Doubleday and Nan A. Talese Books, and Putnam and Riverhead. Ben Bruton has a Master’s Degree from the NYU graduate writing program and his short fiction and essays have been published in various literary journals and magazines.
During his time in New York City, Ben was an ardent advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, inclusion, and equality. As a side note, Ben and the author of I'm Harvey Milk have been friends since high school.
